Nitrogen Unit

Nitrogen Unit

A high-pressure pump or compressor unit capable of delivering high-purity nitrogen gas for use in oil or gas wells. Two basic types of unit are commonly available:

Nitrogen converter unit:

That pumps liquid nitrogen at high pressure through a heat exchanger or converter to deliver high-pressure gas at ambient temperature (The temperature at a point or area expressed as an average of the surrounding areas or materials. Ambient surface temperature is generally given to be 70 to 80oF [21 to 27oC]-an average of daily and seasonal variations).

Nitrogen generator unit:

That compresses and separates air to provide a supply of high-pressure nitrogen gas.
